And you know what? It’s true. Progressive is easily one of the best insurance companies out there for auto insurance (and any other type of insurance too.)

The Good

They do exactly what you want – get you quotes for great insurance. Their online quote form is very comprehensive, and once you are done, gives you a “good / better / best” selection. And here’s something surprising – they will show you other company’s rates if you want to see them. Lastly, I had a real sense of comfort on their site, and dare I say, a little fun browsing around. Nice.

The Bad

I got nothing. Ok, maybe the only negative is they ask for your Social Security number on the form, but it’s secure, and also optional. I’m guessing you get better rate quotes when you include it, because they can see your record better.
