Liberty Mutual Insurance - Reviewed & Compared

Experience, with a healthy touch of modern convenience - that’s how I look at Liberty Mutual. They’ve been in business for more than a century, so they definitely have stability and experience on their side. But getting auto insurance from them is simply a matter of filling out their online forms. So they’ve definitely grown with the times. Plus, they still have local agents for people who like that.

The Good

They have a solid online service for auto insurance. Liberty Mutual’s online presence is a tad old school, but that’s somewhat expected from a standby – no flash, no tricks, just excellent auto insurance that’s easy to get a quote for, and meets your needs. Plus, if you want a local agent, Liberty Mutual offers that option as well.

The Bad

Liberty Mutual’s local agents were a little far from me, the nearest one being across a river. But that’s more or less semantics – in today’s online world, local agents matter less and less, so I won’t ding them too hard here.

What to Expect

  • A long-time company with excellent auto insurance
  • Fast, easy quote system.
  • Local agents are a plus.
  • Good discount and lots of insurance bundling options to save you $$.
